New Logo Inspired Instagram Coca-Cola
The new logo Instagram (detik)
Coinciding with the release of photo tagging feature, a few days ago Instagram also replace its logotype. Changes made to the design of 2-year-old old was made by typographer named Mackey Saturday.

At first glance, logotype is not much different from the old design. Plus, this script font type has been used previously by Billabong.

But it turns out the process requires a short time. As quoted from Gizmodo. Mackey started up this design over a year ago.

He redrew webfont Billabong by hand. The end result looks even more elegant, simple and 'clean'.

Unmitigated, Mackey wanted this logo could be a script that is timeless like Kellogg's and Campbell's. "Coca-Cola is a great example," said Mackey.

He considered, the CEO and co-founder of Instagram, Kevin Systrom has good taste in terms of design. "I think this is a big reason for their success," he said.
