Yahoo bought USD 1.1 billion, Employee Rich Sudden Tumblr - Yahoo recently acquired Tumblr, a popular blogging site worth USD 1.1 billion. Not just the wealthy founders, employees Tumblr was suddenly a millionaire.

David Karp, founder and CEO of Tumblr, estimated to earn USD 253 million and Yahoo's stock from the acquisition proceeds. After taxes, Karp can reap approximately USD 190 million.

The first 30 employees are expected Tumblr each earned USD 3.6 million. Although not all of them are still being employees Tumblr, they still miss out because they have stocks.

As for the 178 employees who have shares Tumblr will reach portion of the amount of USD 66 million. Thus estimates issued PrivCo, a research firm based in New York.

The one that gets big enough quota is Marco Ament, the first developer at Tumblr. What will he do after becoming a millionaire?

"I'm not going to buy a boat or helicopter. If I could control it well, I could be free to do anything," he said in the quotation of the Daily Mail.

Then, what will David Karp who reap hundreds of millions of dollars? Currently, youth drop out in high school who is now 26-year-old was not planning on buying anything. He's still going to stay in one room apartment with his girlfriend, Rachel Eakley.
